I have had one appointment at the hospital. Staff came and informed me that my doctor was running late and by how long . When I went into see my doctor he said he was sorry for the delay however a previous patient needed more time than expected, which had put him behind. This was nice to hear as i knew that Mr Laing would not rush in listening and examining me to fully understand my problem. I need a MRI scan which i went to book, however the computer system was down i completed a form and was told someone would contact the next day to book a time. This was done and i have my appointment within a short time. With my follow up appointment booked with Mr Laing . My wife was with me and we both sat comfy in the waiting room having a complimentary tea and coffee while waiting. Thank you for our experience so far.

Staff kind. caring and cheerful. I was a self pay patient and although I thought the surgeon and anaesthetist were fantastic and value for money, the hospital charged too much and I think some patients would be put off because of the hospital charges.

I have a number of pre-existing medical conditions and was to have a procedure done by Mr. Powar who carried out the operation with great care and I did not feel a thing in the operating theatre so his work was Excellent However I consider the administration of this Hospital leaves a lot to be desired and can be compared to the least performing N.H.S. Hospital For example - Before being admitted I should have had a pre-assessment health check, but it took phone calls from the Consultants secretary, my Solicitor and 2 phone calls to the Hospital. I then finally had the check 48 hours prior to the procedure. At that time the Nurse asked the House Doctor to check my chest and he found it to be clear ! On admission to the ward my Wife phoned to check my progress, I could not get a signal on my mobile, on a previous occasion I was able to speak to her as the Nurse gave me the ward phone, this did not happen then. Following the procedure I was left to my own devises to get dressed. Then the Anaesthetist informed me after the procedure that she had given me an Antibiotic injection to help with the crackle on my chest ! Whilst waiting for my transport home I was approached by an assistant to be told that I could not leave the Hospital until I had paid for my medication, in the sum of £2.67. she then said that they would have to invoice me and I was to pass this on to my Insurers for payment. Had I realised what the medication was, paracetamol and codeine, I would have refused them as I have a full supply of both at Home. The Consultant and His staff were Excellent, the Hospital Administration was not

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Always time to have a laugh and remove any tension. But always conscious of what needed to be done and very professional. The hospital is spotless and well organized. Some of the waiting areas are a bit small but they cater for all the small things which make your stay there as pleasant as it could be

I was seen at Addenbrookes hospital as an out patient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hospital was clean and well signed. I did not have to wait long for my appointment and a blood test had been previously booked which saved time. The parking facilities were good however I found it expensive and to get an outpatient ticket had to walk to the other end of the car park with vehicles constantly passing and no walkway. This was not a problem for myself but could be a problem for a disabled person.

I saw Dr Brierley at the Spire 8/10/2015 Starting with Jane Dr Brierleys Secretary Jane So helpful so polite absolutely brilliant lady , and that's only the start, an appointment was made to help me very last minute for which I was so grateful. Arrived to be greeted by a smile and again such a helpful lady on reception, Dr Brierley arrived and saw me straight away, very easy to talk to and made me feel so relaxed. Sorted out an MRI scan for which the wonderful ladies in that department again arranged speedy treatment and then returned me to Dr Brierley who actually saw me again in between appointments and her busy schedule and explained in terms I fully understood, and Dr's last words to me were " you can go on your holiday now and enjoy it " I am due to fly out this Saturday , I wouldn't have gone on holiday if I hadn't had the good fortune to speak to these totally caring totally professional people. This is the Rolls Royce of Hospitals. And thank you all so much. If you could give 11 out of 10 I would.

It was a very good experience with the exception being that I paid in full a week later and continued to receive letters requesting payment for another ten months. This was pretty stressful and time consuming to sort out. I was right and they were wrong.
